Sreyashi Mitra is a Commerce Graduate from Bhawanipur Education Society College Kolkata and is a Montessori Trained Teacher. She ran her own playschool Play Pen successfully for 6 years before she embarked on a highly successful career as a professional singer. However, even with her singing career she has also evolved an alternative vocation as a counsellor, which saw her complete a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling from National Council of Education, Bengal (Parent Body of Jadavpur University) in 2018. 

 

As a singer, Sreyashi is an exponent of several genres of Bengali Music – Rabindra Sangeet, Folk and Modern/ Adhunik and has performed all over the world including the US, UK, Thailand, Singapore, Argentina and India. She has recorded several successful albums and has been sponsored by the Department of Culture, Government of India on numerous occasions.

 

As a counsellor and educator, Sreyashi has done Corporate Training, Transactional Analysis, Stress Management, Relationship Management for many years before deciding to train professionally as a Counsellor.

 

Apart from her careers as a singer and Counsellor, Sreyashi is a keen proponent of culture in all aspects and well read on various areas of literature and art.
